In this month’s evidence synthesis bulletin, we highlight the ways in which we are helping NPHET in their decision making by reviewing topics such as:
- interventions that prevent or minimise COVID-19 disease
- mandatory home quarantine for people travelling to Ireland from non-designated countries
- policy measures to limit the transmission of COVID-19 at mass gatherings.
The Health Information and Quality Authority’s (HIQA) Health Technology Assessment (HTA) team has published and submitted a number of reports and advice at the request of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) and related groups tasked with the national COVID-19 response.
This work helps ensure rapid access to the best available evidence relevant to SARS-CoV-2 to inform decision-making at each stage of the pandemic.
To easily summarise these reports, the HTA team has launched an evidence synthesis bulletin, which details all the work completed in the previous month.
If you would like to find out more about the work of HIQA and the HTA team in their response to COVID-19, you can here.
The bulletin will be updated monthly and will be shared across our social media platforms.
If you would like to receive the bulletin to your inbox directly, you can request the bulletin from htanews@hiqa.ie.
